Views

A view is one screen of content on the panel — live data, static text, pixel art, or a frame-by-frame animation, with its own duration, brightness and overflow behaviour. Below is every way to start one, a live preview of each, and exactly how to build it.

Every preview below is running live, right here — not a screenshot. Colours and layout match what the device actually renders. Open the interface to build one for real.

How to create a view

  1. Open Views

From the interface (your device's IP address, or the demo), go to Views in the menu.

  2. Click “New view”

Opens the gallery of starting points below — a guided preset, a Custom blank canvas, or Import GIF / Picture.

  3. Fill in what it needs

A preset backed by live data asks for one thing — a city, a coin, a ticker, an API key. Custom and image imports drop straight into the editor.

  4. Build the layout

Drag each value into place, set its colour and font size, add more values (up to 6 per view, from any API or a built-in provider), paint pixels, or draw a frame-by-frame animation.

  5. Set its behaviour

Name, on-screen duration, brightness, and overflow mode — wrap, scroll sideways, or scroll up.

  6. Save

It's added to the rotation. Enable, disable or reorder any view from the Views list at any time.

Eleven guided presets, a blank canvas, and an image importer — every one editable afterward, none of them a ceiling.

Pixel Art

A curated static icon — 19 to choose from, full gallery below.

New view → Pixel Art → pick an icon.

Animated Pixel Art

A looping built-in pattern — 14 to choose from, full gallery below.

New view → Animated Pixel Art → pick a pattern.

Every preset above becomes an ordinary, fully editable view the moment it's added — reposition anything, recolour anything, add or remove values. See Features for the complete customization reference, including custom JSON API sources.

Pixel art library

19 curated static icons. Drop one in, then repaint it pixel by pixel with the Move / Paint / Erase tools.

Animated pixel art library

14 procedural patterns. Pick one and it's baked into ordinary, editable frames — keep it as-is, or paint over every frame yourself.

Built-in effects library

26 denser, full-panel effects baked straight into the firmware — layer your text and data on top. Add-only: unlike Animated Pixel Art, these aren't pixel-editable afterward, since there's no per-frame data to edit — the pixels never leave flash.
