Show a Popular App in 2 Minutes

29 of the 55 apps need no account and no key: GitHub stars, Steam players, the next Formula 1 race, electricity prices, earthquakes, the ISS and more. Pick one, press Test, press Add.

GitHub: a repository's stars and forks, no key needed.

What you need

  • A DataPix, powered on and joined to your WiFi (see Setup).
  • Nothing else.

Step by step

  1. Open the setup page

From a browser on the same network, open the address shown on the panel.

The DataPix home screen with Quick Start, Views, Accounts & API keys and settings tiles
  2. Add a View → GitHub

Go to Views → New view. On the Add a View page, under Developer, pick GitHub.

The Add a View page, grouped, each card with its icon and what it needs
  3. Fill in and Test

Type the repository (owner/name, e.g. torvalds/linux) and press Test. Each value shows its live number next to its tick box — keep the ones you want.

The GitHub dialog with torvalds/linux, Test results for stars, forks, issues and followers
  4. Add and save

Press Add. The view opens in the editor with the GitHub icon, the repository name and your values side by side, scrolling sideways if they don't fit. Save.
