Update DataPix Firmware

New apps, animations, view types and fixes arrive as free updates. Installing one takes a button press and about a minute.

What you need

  • A DataPix, powered on and joined to your WiFi (see Setup).

Step by step

  1. Open the setup page

    Each time you open it, the device checks datapix.store for a newer version.

  2. Press Update

    If there is one, a banner at the top shows its version and what changed, with Update and Dismiss. Press Update and keep the page open.

  3. Wait for the restart

    The device downloads the update, checks it, installs it and restarts. The page reloads by itself. If the new version ever fails to start, the device goes back to the one it had.

If it fails

A red banner says Firmware update failed with the reason; press Retry. The device keeps running the version it had. You can also install a firmware file by hand under System → Upload Firmware.
